I'm looking to buy new wheels for my 78 monte carlo, i was thinking 20's deep dish in the back and 18'' in the front
Ive been having trouble finding wheels that are wide enough to fit, the wider the better
if anyone can recommend something that would be cool

Here is a picture how it looks now and an idea of how i want it to look

I know exactly what u are talkin about im lookin into the same deal for my 1980 Monte Carlo I think ur best bet is to do a frame notch to fit wider wheels
on ur Monte here's a pic of mine i need to notch my frame and get rid of the spacers on the rear

If you have any respectable rim/tire shops local to you, I would start there. They should be able to measure and tell you exactly what the biggest, widest, deepest, max offset, etc,,, combo that will fit with your current suspension.

As stated, at the very least you would more than likely need a frame notch, and possibly fenders rolled, etc,,, to get a look close to what you have pictured.
I was considering doing something similar (deep dish) when I recently ordered my set up, but ended up going for a different look.
Plus I didn't want to pay for a frame notch just for looks.
Not a 78, but here is a picture anyway.
