i planned on swapping over to a 350 in my car and i got some L98 heads and i was wondering what would be the best rocker arms for my setup..... XE 268 cam kit that cam with springs with L98 center bolt heads and also how important is it to change the push rods because some people say just clean them and you are ok and some say change.....thanks in advance

assuming you want to stay on the less expensive side, use compcams roller tip rockers. i believe they're under the magnum line. they cost about the same as stock, but are stronger and reduce wear. if you got money, get full roller rockers.

i concure, if ya want i believe for the same price or a lil more you can get a 1.6 roller tip rocker like this:

For that cam, roller tip rockers are good but IMO you would be fine using a set of true 1.5 stamped steel rockers.
what he said...

why? IIRC they're almost the same price. i wouldn't go 1.6 as it can cause geometry problems, but...

It's been said to stay away from the 1.6 ratio on Comp's XE line and Lunati's Voodoo line. The ramps are already quite aggresive and adding the ratio makes for problems. As in to aggressive ramps for a non-roller cam.

Hmm what does the aggressive ramps have to do with the 1.6 rocker arm?

I think what he is getting at is the fact that the aggressive ramps cause a lot of stress on the drivetrain. Supposedly lunati's lobe design has solved this problem over their XE counterparts, but that is a seperate debate.

Basically the 1.6 rocker is causing the valve to open farther but the duration remains constant. Therefore, the valve is traveling much faster to make up for the increase in distance. This may cause valvetrain noise or the valve not shutting gently. This may lead to other issues that I'm sure you guys can add on.

Ya something like that. An increase in rocker ratio won't increase your advertised duration but it will increase the duration seen at .050", this is due to the lift coming at a quicker rate. A roller cam has very agressive ramps that are not possible in a non-roller cam because the lifters will just dig into the side of the lobe. The XE/Voodoo cams are using a lobe design that is pushing these limits. Adding in the increased rate of the 1.6 ratio and you could have a problem of wiping out the cam. If there's is any doubt, you can always call their tech line and see what they recommend, just in case this is more of a rumor.
