Rocker arms?

Okay, well the engine has only been ran for maybe 30 mins. There are some valve stems that I can tell were starting to rotate but what would cause the valves not to spin? I had new valves and a 3 angle valve job done. I have a set of comp beehives with locators. And I currently do have full roller rockers and they are 1.6 ratio. Comp cam 17002-16 I believe.

I also looked up the pushrods I chose. they are comp cams 7812. I was not aware but according to summit racing, they are for use with guideplates?

Is the slight wear mark a normal sight?

Just found out those wear marks on the pushrods are from the heads. so now my only two options are pull the heads and enlarge the pushrod holes to 1/2" or use 1.5 ratio rockers, correct? Probably the stock stamped steel rockers would be OK for street use, thus eliminating the need for guideplates?

I'm not going with Summit's statement. If those were designed for use with guide plates, then Comp would mention it on their site (which they don't). Those are not the right pushrods to the best of my knowledge.

No, neither. You need to move the guide plate on the rocker studs to eliminate interference between the head and the pushrod. I'm sure you noticed how much adjustment there is in the guideplates, but if moving one pushrod creates a problem with the mating pushrod, then you need to either cut the guideplate and reweld it or use adjustable guide plates.

I have to admit that I've never seen this issue with a set of stock head castings. I'd like to see what you have cooking

edit : if you have any concerns about the push rods, then contact Comp, but I'm sure that those pushrods aren't for use with guideplates - but maybe I'm wrong.
