well, when I started on my car, there was a large rust spot in the middle of the roof, no bigg-ie but after giving up on the car after finding out the 3.8 was blown, I put the car out at our storage place, where a tree fell on top of the car in a tornado that literally jumped the car, the roof is a little banged up, but its not terrible (by my veiw). However It was brought to my atention that the roof may be un-repairable now, and if it is repairable, its going to be an expensive bill at a body shop because it would be way beyond my experience. What options do I have? if I have to replace the roof, Im finding a ttop roof, if it is in fact fixable, should I attempt it myself as a first timer, or should I man up on the price and take it to a body shop?

will get a pic tommarow so u know what im refering to.

My reaction is that GBodies are still plentiful and very affordable. Scrap it and put the money towards whay you really want and in good condition

🙁 i was hoping you would not say that... the metal under the trunk is f'ed up too.... ughhh.... i just got the car running too...

yeah. ill get some tommarow, and of the trunk. I had someone offer me 3k for it as is, not running, not driving, no brakes, i figure if I get the trunk to hold down, and put my brakes on it, and get it going down the road, i may be able to turn around and sell it for 4000.

Been me id charge you about 2 grand to replace the roof and paint it so why not buy another car its cheaper really.

well i wasnt exaclty there when that guy came by, its just what my dad told me. I think ill get it moving and try and sell it. All ive done to th car was build a sbc 350, so... but 3000$ would not get me this far on another car ya know? the motor itself is prolly worth 1500, the car would almost come free lol.
