Thought i'd start a thread showing my Cutlass as my project progresses.
My Father in law gave this car to me in Nov. 2009. My mother in law bought it brand new in 86, and the past 9 yrs., it's been in a field, just neglected. Asked my father in law what he wanted for it, he just said "you want it? it's yours!, i've got enough junk to work on around here." So began my journey.

Current drive train:
SBC 350 with 305 heads (ragged out) but still runs.
TH350 trans

Interior:
Burgandy or Claret? (not sure)
Everything is there, and in decent shape, headliner cloth is gone, and Dash is cracked.

Body:
Very straight and in good shape,a bit of rusting where the dang Vinyl top was., all chrome is there, trim, etc.
Here's some pics of before I even started.

Got my shorty headers today,Hooker 2466. I'm probably not going with a custom crossmember(double hump). I"m wanting to have 2 1/2 in. Exhaust. What inlet/outlet configuration I would need as far as my mufflers? I'm liking the Flowmaster 40 series. I'm planning on side exit (dual).

that car seems solid besides the roof, it has some odd areas rusted up there. whats the underside looking like?

underside has some rust, mainly surface.floorpans and underside is surprisingly solid! Frame seems OK, no drain holes plugged or anytyhing like that (far as I can tell) I'll take some pics and post as soon as I get time.

dang, from all angles that i can see it looks good. and it looks to have not had a vinyl top on it? just one of those wierd cases i suppose. i am not sure if you are a fan of t tops but if you are gonna replace the roof that may be a option 😀

It's actually had a vinyl top on it at one time. I plan on trying (keyword TRYING) to repair the cancer on the roof, I think the pics make the holes look larger than they are. I've at least siliconed in the holes, just temporarily. Hell, I may just replace the bad sheet metal on the roof, or replace the whole roof, from a donor car? not sure yet
