RPO code help

Decoded almost everything except for a few pesky RPO's I can''t seem to find anywhere: NY6, QVJ, 6BJ, 8ST, 9ST, and what looks like OLD??? Can't tell because paper is ripped.

Dammit...and I had just put my RPO code book away...

NY6-Power Steering
QVJ-no listing (but Q's are wheel and tire combos)
The rest of them have no listing in my copy of "GM Production Options- Effective May, 1984". There are no O codes listed and no codes with numerical beginnings other than 1 listed in the book.

Are you reading this off the SPID label under the trunk, or a build sheet found in the car? If it is a build sheet, it may have different coding that was departmental in nature instead of the more generic RPO codes found on the SPID.

I found the build sheet under the rear seat all chewed up by mice, all except for the RPO's thankfully. You're probably right about the other codes as I can't find them anywhere online or anything.

6BJ, 8ST, & 9ST are what springs were selected for your car. Is there a 7BJ code as well? 6 & 7 are the fronts, 8 & 9 are the rears.

Actually, I didn't find a 7 on the sheet, But I'll double check, I probablly mised it. Thanks!

I also found it wierd that it says I should have a cushioned steering wheel, but I don't. Also I thought my interior color was dark briar brown, but it says it's "LT CAMEL"

Take the interior colors you find on that online list with a grain of salt.
It is a pretty generic list of RPO codes from several different model lines. A majority of them are correct, but if you find yourself questioning any of them, chances are, they're for another model.

Post up the others that you aren't sure about...

I've got a list I got from the GM manual, though it's for '85, not '83, but it'll be closer than what's online.

Well, with the differences between years, there was only one I was able to figure out from my list that you didn't have...
