Hey folks, I have a 1984 Cutlass Supreme that originally came with the V-6 diesel. I've been going through the laundry list of RPO codes and there are 4 that I can't find, Hoping you all can help: NM4, V2E, WL6, and WL7. Thanks in advance,
John

Oh wow, a 4.3 V6 Olds? I've only ever seen and heard of the earlier 5.7 Diesel cars. Can't imagine how few of those were made! Is your RPO Sheet in the trunk lid? I can only find this.
But i can ask around... I'd love to see a picture of the car.

From the 1984 CSM...

NM4- Emission Control (whatever that is)
V2E - Standard suspension (whatever that means)
WL6- Diesel Traveling Package (whatever that is)
WL7- Popular option package. You save a few bucks when you buy some other options. Typically tilt wheel, delay wipers, power windows. Dealer had to specify the WL7 on the order sheet or you didn't get the savings, even if you bought the qualifying options.

Yeah, I'd never seen one either until I bought this from a friend back in 2000. I just got a rolling chassis from him by then but remember the V-6 diesel being in it. He was going to put a 403 in it but lost interest. This is a picture of it from 2017. Yes, the RPO sticker is on the trunk lid. Would you believe I only paid $200 for this as a roller back in 2000? I knew nothing about value back then so I put a 408 BBC in it with a turbo 400. Rear end required a heavy duty Auburn posi, Richmond 3.42 gears and aftermarket axles to hold together.

Wow nice looking car, fatties in the rear 😉 & Yes i can believe the $200 score. Vehicles where a lot less expensive back then for sure. I traded a Ex-Police Crown Vic for my '79 lemans and a case of beer and a few hundred. But anyways, did these newer cars not have the RPO plate on the drivers side cowl? You've got me looking now for a g-body diesel. I have a thing for those.

I just got back to my thread. I want to thank you for drumming up the info on those codes. I appreciate that very much!
