The rubber bumper protector...Anybody know where you can buy those or fix the old ones? It look like it has some type of clip but two clips or whatever are broken off.

What do you mean clips have broken off... got a picture? Can you use washers or those hold down clips to hold it in?

If so, just buy some poly-flex filler from evercoat (The more I use evercoat the more I like it, rage gold filler is A+++)

The rubber bumper impact strips are tough to find.

Every now and then I see them pop up on eBay... Keep your eyes peeled.

It's really hard to remove a used one without wrecking it, since the fasteners on the backside of the bumper often rust up, and then the whole piece twists out of the rubber strip, pretty much rendering it useless.

Are we talking a metal bumper, or a plastic one? My Malibu (metal bumper) has them and I plan to get rid of them (along with the bumpers) as soon as I can find a good set without the holes.

Yes, I'm kinda confused here too.

Plastic/rubber? Bumper impact strip/bumper cover?

any way you go kingcolbert, if you could re-attach it and use filler it'll save some cash

its a metal bumper with the rubber impact strip. Its loose on the passenger side. I was thinking about using some jb weld to hold it on. If I remove it then I will have holes going all around the bumper. I could fill them in but I dont want to paint my bumper unless repainting it chrome.

Try using some 3M panel bonding adhesive. Mix a little up and smear it between the rub strip and the bumper, and then clamp it down while it dries, using a wooden paint stick or something to protect the rubber from the clamp.
