I have this 93 s-15 sitting in my driveway with a spun main (maybe a story for another day 😳 ) so I was thinking that since the seats were in such great shape I should swap them into the Olds so that I can have my stock buckets out for a refresh and upgraded bolstering.
The install was very basic for the passenger track seat, I just swapped the tracks and voila!
For any of you thinking of a swap like this keep in mind the truck seats are slightly smaller in depth and width and also somewhat firmer. The track mounts show more because of this and you feel higher in the car because your *ss doesn't sink in like most of the stock g-body seats.
I have not done the driver seat yet because it's power and I didn't have time tonight. I will post results of that when I get it done (maybe tomorrow)
Also, if you are looking to do this,DO NOT get seats out of a 4 dorr truck, they will not tilt forward for access to the back seat.
One problem I had is forgetting how this spring hooks up and I can't look at the other because it is power. Can somebody enlighten me?
