Would an 86 s10 blazers rear axle be a direct swap for my 84 GP? What gears are in the s10 blazers axle?

umm, no.
one they are a leaf spring axle and secondly, not sure what WMS is between the 2, but i believe there is a difference.
third, it doesn't have provisions for upper control arms even if it could be converted. 😀
