Hey all, I have a 1986 Cutlass Supreme. Well anyways, we had new neighbours move in next door and the one used to race G-bodys as Figure 8 cars a few years back. He told us about how they used Steering boxes out of 80's style Chevy S10's that were 4 cyl 5 speeds. I guess there was no power steering but a weird steering box that didn't require it. Anyways, I am looking to rid myself of my power steering for this box if it's as good as said. Is any of this true?

Yes it is true. Bolt in job. Use the S-10 pitman arm. You'll love it.

Is it true that you can swap a manual S10 steering box into a G-body? Yes.

You will gain some room under the hood and free up a little HP.

Not really worth it on a daily driver IMO. It sucks trying to turn at lower speeds or park in a lot.
If we are talking about a street/strip car, its not a bad idea.

Yup your neighbor is right. I did that swap a few years ago and am pleased.
