I got my car finished a while back and one issue I have is the front seat belts. The Buckle side I received with the car wont accept the belt to plug into it in the front. But the rear belts will plug right into them and lock. Are the buckles different for front and back and I just need new buckles?

There was a change in buckle size..I think in about 86...they went slightly smaller and the female portion was plastic covered like the ones below...

hmmmm i bet thats my problem because mine are the metal ones. The belts are from a 87 gn though, thanks!
Yep that would likely be the problem...the male buckles on the newer belts are slightly smaller than the early ones.
brand new seatbelts are a huge improvement in interior look and feel, not to mention safety - i did manage to find two places (there may be more) that have exact direct fit replacements for the g body in several colors. seatbeltsplus.com and seatbeltstore.com - roughly about $220-230 for the complete front set.
