Ok I've read dozens of old threads on painting my interior with SEM. My? is how well does it hold up? What's the longest anyone has had theirs painted?

I painted mine to do a color change over 20 years ago and they still look good, I think if you are starting off with pieces in good shape (not sunbaked) with proper prep I think it will last the life of the car, I like to do a couple coats of low luster clear over the color coat which helps protect against scratches etc.

My dash was dark gray, center console was blue and the rest of the plastic was light gray.

Did you do your seats and door panels also? Looks really nice BTW. I want to know how well it holds up on seats and my door panels have some cloth and carpet

I only painted the plastic and vinyl pieces, the lower door panels/armrests are painted (uppers I made) but I replaced the carpet on the lower door panel.
I personally do not feel a high wear item such as a seat will hold up as well and I have yet to see a cloth/velour paint that can be applied and still retain the softness of the original material.
My original interior was light gray with 60/40 seats so when I bought the Cerullo camel color buckets I bought SEM paint and ACC carpet to match .

Thanx again. I'm doing my homework first to find out what I'll need and how to do it. I just yesterday scored a perfect original dashboard for $300.00. Still looking for the best bucket seats vinyl or leather . And a bunch of Elco only trim pieces .
