Ok guys, I need some ideas. I'm slowly running out of them. I have a vibration in my 86 442 that starts around 45 or so and lasts up to around 80. It's intermittent and not always there. Hitting a bump in the road or a decent curve will get it to act up.

Now what I've already tried to get rid of this:

New control arm bushings all the way around.
new tires.
new rims.
new complete steering setup.
new drive shaft

What's left? This is driving me nuts, and for the life of me I can't get it to go away.

My thoughts are:

the rear
trans mount although its rather new.

I've had this vibration in this car the entire 5 years I've owned it and I've never gotten rid of it. Rear control arm bushings helped the most so far.

Thanks for any advice I can get!

the vibration increases with speed, not engine rpm right? like if you hold revs in neutral it doesnt vibrate.

Yes only speed. I really thought the rear control arms and bushings were it.

checked your wheel bearings? sorta unlikely but worth a shot.
