I'm checking out the painted shroud. I've never painted one but it looks good. Was any special prep required to avoid cracking or peel?

Thanks for the compliments guys,its appreciated.I used Motomaster by Canadian Tire brand foamy engine cleaner,it works pretty good.The shroud I had painted a few years ago by a buddy that has a body shop,its the 2nd or 3rd one I've had done.The fan is so close that occasionaly it touches the underneath of the shroud,must be those 7000 rpm blasts 😀
