Ok. I have an 82 Cutlass Supreme and I recently locked my keys in the trunk and was forced to remove the lock cylinder to get in. I have a donor car which is a 90's Ford Tempo. It has a Power Trunk so i can pop the trunk with a button from the inside...I want to remove the trunk option from the Ford Tempo to install it in the Cutty. Does anyone know how to go about removing the option from the Tempo? any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It should be just the wires, button, and the piece that pops the trunk. Not hard, but they can be found for the Cutlass easy enough to not have to take it from the Ford.

Pretty much any full size GM car of the 80's will have that solenoid and switch in it. There is no point to adopting the Ford part.

i dont have any extra cash laying around since i just blew it all on one of my other cars. so i mean, its not like im paying for it and i dont have to search for a gm car. as long as it will work. im guessing ill just need the piece on the trunk. the wires and the button. so ill c what i can do. thanks

you'll probably spend more time and money getting the ford solenoid to mount to the gm trunklid.... save yourself aggrivation, and just get one from the junkyard.....
