I'm looking on putting in a shift kit and possibly a converter in my transmission this winter.

I'm wondering what kit is best, as far as what you've heard, or if any of you guys have any experience with any of them.

Just looking through summit, theres B&M, Trans go performance, TCI, and Hughes. not wanting to spend too much, hopefully under $100 but still get a quality kit.

+2 on the B&M shift kits stage 2 or 3 for me. And i like the redneck converters thay work good and dont cost alot of coin.

Transgo seems to have a good reputation. However, I've used the B&M kit for many years and like it.

next dumb question.

B&M has the "transpak" and "Shift Improver" kits. Is there a difference? obviously there is because the shift improver kit is twice the price. I'm thinking I'll go with the Shift improver, $63 isn't bad at all.

B&M makes 3 kits to my knowledge. The 1st being the shift improver kit, the transpak is supposed to be the next step up from shift improver kit and the 3rd option is the transkit which is known as the B&M trans in a box. It all really depends on how much how want to do with trans. There definitely a bunch of companies that make kits and they are all pretty reputable.

I see. I think I'm gonna go with the transpak then. Thanks guys!
