Been thinking about doing an overhaul on the transmission but dont really know where to start. I bought new fluid (Royal Purple of course) and a new filter, but since I've decided upon getting a shift kit, I wanted to wait and do it all at once. I've seen alot of choices but, I really dont know which one to choose. So,what would be the best shift kit to use on my 200R4?

transgo makes some nice kits you might want to take a look at .

I would recommend Trans-go or B&M. I am not sure but I believe there are two types of kits...shift kits and shift improver kits, but I could be mistaken.

I have used the B&M shift improver kits and they seem like a decent kit. I have heard a lot of good things about the TransGo kits though. I would say, if I were going to do another transmission, I would go with the TransGo shift kit

I have to without a doubt reccomend these guys: WWW.CKperformance.com they are based out if NYC, and I can tell you I had issued with my 700r4......bought their valve body w/shift kit and couldn't be happier.....I will never go with anyone else for transmission needs , so long as they are in business!!! 8)

I just installed their 2004r kit tonight along with the TCI torque converter lock up kit....just itchin to drive it!....wont be long now!!! :wax:

chris at ckperformance.com was a big help with all my ???.give them a call great people.

I never heard that much feedback about CKperf but I just looked at their website and was pretty impressed with the products they offer. I am actually going to be giving them a call with a question or two about upgrading a few things in my 700r4

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I been doing a lil reasearch on all of the suggested sites and i might do a shift kit from Trans Go. I really want the torque converter from CK'S!

I have the B&M Shitft Kit not the shift improver Kit. The 1-2 shift is super hard and the 2-3 shift sucks and the 3-4 oD is way too hard. When it shifs 1-2 when your just idling down the street it knocks the breath out of you
