Is anyone think it's worth putting $250 double adjustable shocks on the rear of about a 500 hp streetcar ? Or is there something that will do to help me launch a little cheaper until I really start adding the power ? Any suggestions would be a help thanks

I'm getting the Summit Racing adjustable shocks for my Cutlass. They're only $37 each.
Front: SUM-G7600
Rear: SUM-G7702

I've heard people have good luck with those. Also hear good things about the competition engineering ones that are similar for about 50$ a piece. I know they don't have anything near the versatility of a good shock but I wonder if ther would do for now?? Let me know how u like them please.

Lakewood drag shocks..... 90/10 front, 50/50 rear....thats's what I'm running, I love 'em

Gave that a thought too but I always heard the 90/10s make for a horrible ride on the street. Never found out myself though. What do u think?

They're pretty much the same as the Summit and CE shocks.
Summit's shocks' ratios:
Front: 90/10, 80/20, or 60/40
Rear: 70/30, 50/50, or 40/60

Right Side Airbag to Preload the suspension. About 20 years ago I played with the scales at the Track with my airbag empty. I put one back Tire on the scale at a time and watched the weight reading while I Power braked. Basically 250lbs was transferred off the right side onto the left so the tires weigh 500lb different from static weight. The light tire is always going to start spinning sooner and when one spins the odds of both spinning becomes much greater.

The airbag preload makes the weight difference between the right and left sides much less at launch.
