I've always kinda liked the blacked out look on some cars, mostly just muscle cars though.
I think the Grand Nationals look really bad *ss all blacked out. I like that mean look.

So I've been thinking about doing it to my 86 Cutlass. I'm kinda 50/50 on it though. Most people have told me not to do it. And I do like the chrome bumpers and trim, but I like the sleek mean look too. :|

This is my Cutlass right now.

What do you guys think?

I think this is the most bad *ss Cutlass ever

But mine might not look that good, then it's going to be a huge pain to get the chrome back.

i would get extra parts from another cutlass and black out those parts,so if you don't like you could put your chrome back on.

I have to agree with buying extra...I love the chrome on my cutlass

I say no. The chrome on the Cutlasses is awesome looking. Blacked out cars are becoming trendy and seems like its something everyone is doing IMO. Unless its a GN or SS keep he chrome. Again JMO.

It's tough pulling off a blacked out car unless you have A-1 body work & paint. You either need pristine glossy black or an all business satin look. If you do it half-assed it will look like crap or a mullet-mobile.

I agree with "496kid"! Imo, I'd paint the trim semi-flat black so the Cutty doesn't look like some one was to lazy to remove/tape the car (the trim would still be trim!).
