Take the whole trans some of the internals are better and worth having

trans was toast. that silver gunk in the pan used to be red trans fluid.
i grabbed what i could easily get to. the frame and body were so rotted, the only way the trans was coming out was when it was upside down. even then i was worried about my feet crashing through and getting stuck like a bear trap.
