My brother has a full SLP Loudmouth exhaust on his '02 Mustang. They are LOUD. They don't have any fiberglass or anything inside them.

On his car they sound okay with the X-pipe at full throttle or light throttle but they have a terrible ear splitting sound right around 2000rpm.

In my opinion I wouldn't put them on anything. They really aren't any different than having straight pipes.

I have to agree, a friend of mine has them on a 01' Firehawk with a pretty stout LSX in it and its almost retarded how loud it was, you can't even stand to be in the car. He ended up having to put a Dynomax muffler after them in the pipes. I would say the fact that they call the a "resonator" in OEM terms that means followed by a muffler.

Had slp on my firebird formula.....WAY too load, was fun for about 24 hours, then just plain annoying for a street car

They kinda look purrrty, but ive always loved the sound of Flowmaster 40 series. What did those SLP stainless beauties run you?

I had a friend that had them on his Camaro. They sounded like garbage. He loved them but damn to loud andpopped allot.

x2! My buddy used them on his Camaro. As my old lab teacher said, "they're cool if you have a small penis"

I bought them new for $110 directly from SLP ... one of my classmates works for them so i got a decent discount and free shipping- They typically cost $144 i believe before shipping?

I realize they are really loud. my buddy has them on his foxbody. I like the LOUD raspy tone and the popping reminds me of a really nice raceing exhuast on an subaru. not the cheap tuner fart can exhaust!(i know these are louder and making a refrence to a tunner is wrong in this topic, but if anyone knows what im talking about they have turned before to see what made this awsome muscle sound and were then suprised to see a rice burner STI)

besides im young ... dont i get al little chance to be loud and obnoxious 8)
i look at it this way - i did want cutouts before and its going to sound better than than those annoying people blaring there stereos that only make bass and sound like crap

Well Wyokid if what you want is loud they will give you that, the only problem is the very low compression in all the underpowered g-body cars sound just weird with a nearly open exhaust. So if that car has say a 260 or a 8.7-1 compression 307 in it, it might sound more like a weed-wacker coming down the road. But it might sound very cool, and you are right it is your car you can do what you want with it

The car has one straight pipe on as of now with no cat. Its has that deep putt(at least as deep as a 307 can make) to it with that I just figured these resonators might bring it out more.. the plan is to pair them up with some Hooker Comp Full length headers when I finally get the time and money to install the duals back on it.

These things are an experiment, if it does end up sounding like a weed-whacker I can assure you that they will be taken off.

The main thing I was looking for with this Thread was if anyone paired them up with a Olds 350 or larger Olds engines.( I know these resonators are matched to Lt1 350 all the time, wanted to know if there was a large difference)
