awsome pics!

BTW, those aren't smart cars, they're B-BODY EMERGENCY ESCAPE PODS!

this is now my new favorite thread...

PS: I love the detailed work on your car... is that pinstripe from factory? Where did you get those gauges?

We have here in germany smartcars for a couple of years like 10 years whatever...i dont know, whats going wrong with the guys from mercedes to create a "car" like this. For us is this just a handycap on highway, good for innercitys nothing for outercity.

As well, in europe start the Smartcar at €10000 this is huge money for this piece of plastic. Sorry i dont lime them... :puke:

The 79 Buick is bone stock down to it's original radio and speakers, and just rolled over 50K miles. The 77-79 Buicks had silver-faced gauges, pretty sharp. The car was re-painted once and the factory pin stripe was replicated. The car looks just like it did when Buick built it in 1979. The only issue on the car right now is the power antenna died. Other than that it all works like new. I only wish the power windows on my Cutlass and Roadmaster were as fast as the ones on this 79.

Thanks for the comments!

Now that I think about it, didn't the 78-80 Grand Prix's also have silver-faced gauges? Pretty sure they did. I'm sure someone on here knows.

I hate the little things. Austin, where I live, prides itself on being a very liberal and "hip" city, and these little spuds are all over now.

Off topic but I bet it's fun having the Grand Prix in Germany. Pretty car!!

I had a similar encounter in the new project, a 77 olds regency 98. I wish i had taken some pictures of that.
People used to tell me the malibu was long, then i got the 98! Thats a really nice car though man, and it just looks even better next to those communist death traps.
