I need to know what can I do that might fix my issue I had my car idling I went around the block with it when I got back I parked it and notice that it started smoking a little bit from the exhaust and it never did that before as it idles I opened the hood and saw my fuel pressure gauge needle bouncing so I turned the car off what can this mean I have a 1/4 tank of gas I also have an issue where its running rich but that is probably due to not having a fuel regulator which I'm installing the car has a holley 600,Mr.Gasket electric pump so any info you guys can help me with that would be great.

Is that a fuel pump that runs constantly with a return or 1 that builds pressure then shuts down? If it the latter then I could see your guage needle moving... also what kind of guage is it , is it possible the needle was bouncing because of vibration of the engine, try turn the key on with out starting it and check guage then check to see if any fuel is flowing into the engine. Thats where I would start...

It Mr.Gasket pump it only has a in and out it stays running until the car gets shut off .The gauge is a summit one I'm changing it to my autometer and the needle doesn't bounce when the car is running but I will check it without turning the motor on to see if it does it still.
