I searched the Forum, but did not find a relevant post.

Four of the five white plastic inserts that go into the header panel on my 1980 Malibu broke apart when I removed the grille. Anybody know where to find some replacements? OPGI may have them, but their website search is less than helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Quinn,
Is there a body shop supply near you? I found mine at a Lowes home improvement center. I don't know if there's a Lowes by you.
If not, check a good auto parts store, they may have them. They're actually pretty common.

These?

Yes, those are the clips that broke. Please share any resources...meanwhile I will troll the Depot and Lowes this week and see what I can find.

I got them from clipsandfasteners.com Ill post the part # when I get home but it comes in a box of 50.

I think these are what you found: http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Grille ... a14009.htm

$11 gets me a pack of 50, delivered. I can remarket sets if there is interest.

Clipsandfasteners.com has a lot of interesting bits that Forum members will find useful. You know those damned 7mm hex-head captured-washer coarse thread machine screws that hold the dash and underhood bits together? They have them in several lengths, for those of us that have lost them...

The inserts that I used on my '81 header panel look slightly different than the ones Jeff posted a pic of. Mine were more square in shape and looked like the ones that are generally used for license plate inserts, only smaller. They worked fine for me.
The ones I used didn't have the elongated screw holes.
