Re: speedometer inop

Check and make sure the speedo cable is screwed in at the transmission. If it is, then it is prob bad. They sell them at AutoZone and Advanced Auto, or any parts store for around $30 or so. Take the old one with you when you go so that you make sure you get the right length.

Re: speedometer inop

x2 if it happens not to be the cable, there are 2 plastic gears in the transmission that coud be broken or missing. Or the speedometer could be junk.

Re: speedometer inop

just found the cable is not hooked up gunna figure that out sometime today i guess haha.

Re: speedometer inop

ok i found the spot where it goes someone has snipped the cable a bout an inch from the transmission. the cable coming out of the speedo has the end on it but i don't thin that it will reach. would the V6 one be shorter?

i dont think it would make a diffrence if it was a v6 before since it sits on the same place your current transmission sits..just go to auto part make sure you take your current speedo cable to compare it and make sure they give you the same one.. 🙂
