Apparently according to "Onehit" I spelled something wrong in the following post, I sent him a PM to enlighten me as to what I spelled wrong so I can fix it but have not received a response back and I myself can not see the mistake. This was in the "is the PCV valve really necessary thread"
I was surprised to get my first negative response only to see it is a spelling error and not some comment I had made.
So please any spelling bee champs chime in and let me know.

"I know a guy that replaced the valve covers on his BBC boat engine with some pretty anodized valve covers but he did not use any of the original breather system because he did not like how it looked, first time out it forced all the oil out of the engine and it locked up and he had to be towed back. Obviously boat engines with sustained RPM's need better evacuation than a typical car but this shows how pressure can build up in the crankcase."

Bad Spelling x 1

I don't see anything misspelled in that.

I too have had people post negative and upon talking with them have found that it was an error on their part. Most have been while using the cell phone and trying to use the up to top/down to bottom arrows in a post....I know on mine it sits right on the "bad spelling" and "dumb" buttons. Hopefully it was in error and then can be deleted. Hope he does respond.

It was probably in error.I have given members a negative rating "unintentionally" when scrolling up and down on my phone. I have corrected them after it was brought up.

They were either old or spelling ratings which are on the right where my thumb normally scrolls.

I vote bad spelling be changed to a neutral, since this is not a professional journal, but rather a bunch of enthusiasts with bloody knuckles and calluses, not just on the fingertips. And I can't type for sh*t anyway...

I guess I could see how someone could hit the wrong button on a phone but I am on here with my laptop and I like to pride myself in being a good speller plus I always proof read my replies before I post them so it kind of threw me to see "bad spelling" with all the other possible replies.
And I agree no one should get a negative for spelling.

And what is the benefit of a button to mark something 'dumb'? Change that one to 'rant', maybe. I probably would not use it anyway, as I just move on from rants, and reinforce good stuff when I read it.

'Old' can be dumped and replaced with a 'bump' button, sometimes we want follow-ups, and members often step away from the Forum for a while.

Not bad spelling just a run-on sentence lol! Honestly I have no idea what the "ratings" mean.

Again I have done this to numerous members and removed them as soon as I noticed or was pm'd by them. I mainly use a kindle and those rating buttons are right where I scroll up and down. Sorry I didn't correct yours as quickly as you'd like is there an impatient button I can hit instead
