Where should I get a set from? I popped a line today, I'd rather go stainless so I never have to do it again. The question is, go pre bent OR just make my own from a roll? I've done the roll before on daily drivers, but never when cleanliness counted.

Thanks,
Martin

No question doing it yourself will be cheaper. If you have some bending tools and a quality flaring kit, i dont see why cleanliness will be an issue.

If you can afford to, i have always heard positive reviews about inlinetube.com. Although, i have no direct experience with them.

If you want to do it for the last time cunifer brake line is another option. Cunifer is easy to work with, can be formed with no tools and less expensive than stainless

I ordered a full set of everything from inline tube last week. I haven't received the lines yet. On my Malibu I need to have the body off to replace the lines in one piece.

Good info. Is this an American company? Is there a distributor in Canada? Just curious.

Napa has cunifer, they use it in Australia and European with Volvo using it first decades ago. It also polishes up to a nice shine if you have the time and want that look under the car...

Good luck with Inline Tube. I will never deal with them again. I used Classic Tube on my Silverado and Right Stuff Detailing on my 67 442. Both have excellent products as well as customer service. I don't know if they do G body stuff, though.

One thing I've noticed is that the flares can be finicky to get seated. Once you get them seated, you're good.

If it was me I wouldn't even mess with stainless lines. They are a huge pain in the but to get them to seal. I have been chasing leaks down since I installed my custom stainless lines and have had to resort to small copper cone washers that go between the stainless line and flared fitting to seal properly.
It's a little better if your lines are connecting to a brass fitting as the brass will tend to deform enough for a good seal.

If I was to do it again I would just go with steel lines.
