i aheva 87 el camino and just put new headers on it. In order to get the headers in i had to take the starter out. The wires broke off and i didnt see were they went. There is the one big wire the positive cable i know that one. But i dont know if this is right or just riged but there are wires that come down and one is purple and one is red. the red one has two wires going into one conection and the other is just one purple wire. Which one goes to the s on the starter solenoid and which one goes to the r on the solenoid. I hooked everything up and connected the battery and i got nothing. thanks kevin

The red wires go get connected with the positive wires, and they go on the r terminal. The purple gets connected to the s terminal.

grab a wiring diagram for the car
pep boys/autozone or whichever will print one off for you
(if you're in canada, partsource will as well)
