Id take the mustang theres a 3.8 turbo mustang in the low 10s the skyline is missing something it won't ever have torque. I use to have a rb25det in a s13 sad to say my small block 68 mustang would eat it alive. And trust me a rb in the usa sucks i had to wait 2 weeks for a used starter to be shipped from aus.

Yeah, that's the big problem with the RB. I think it does share a part or two with the old L24/L26/L28 and maybe the CA18DE, but am not sure enough to say it for sure. Unfortunately, we never got the Skyline, Staega, Cedric, or Holden Calais (RB30) in this country, so parts are somewhat inconvenient to come by. It also has a high buy in price initially, and needs quite a bit of mods to really wake Godzilla up... Then again, if you had the money to do it all, it still has a lot of potential. If I was going to do one, it would probably be in a early 240Z as I have a thing for old Datsuns. I'd also rock a PL510 with a SR20DET and a S15 6 speed swap. Swap out the R160 diff for either a R180 or an R200, then add some decent brakes and 15 or 16in Panasport wheels and have a very quick little classic car with more character than any new import will ever have.

Is there a manual box from a donor car that has a quick ratio? I was thinking of going with a quick ratio box but I would really like to convert to manual.

Not sure why you'd want right hand drive, but what about an LLV Postal truck box? Those are S-10 chassis with factory right hand drive.
