it typically slips when the engine isnt running and i steer it manually, but this morning when driving it, it has a little lag when the wheels are straight when changing direction... i guess i need a new steering box? lol help would be great, i really didnt feel too safe driving it.. lol

have you looked at the other components for wear?...idler arm, tie rods etc....
the idler arm is brand new... tie rods not really. but im not sure because it just POPOPOPOPOPOPS when i turn it without the car running..

One of the lowers is brand new.. the other 3 I'm not so sure of. The wheels have some negative camber so I'm sure its time for a change of those... but how does that cause the steering to slip? I'm just curious.

I don't understand how the box itself can be slipping, there is an adjustment for slackness in the box but the box can't slip with the shaft and worm gear..

are you sure it's not the belt slipping on the pump when you have the car running...that will give you an uneven power assist when turning
