Steering wheel lock issue

I have a 1986 oldsmobile cutlass supreme with 3.8 liter engine and automatic. My steering wheel will not go into the locked position when in park.. I cannot get my key out..... any ideas?.. detent??

Try turning the lower portion of the steering column counterclockwise, the linkage might need to be readjusted to the get to the locked position.
