I'm installing a new stereo and was wondering if I could connect the ground and accessory power to my voltmeter? The stereo is going right above the voltmeter, so it would be easier than runnning new wires and look cleaner.

The ground wire you prob will be alright, the power wire I would run a dedicated single wire from the fusebox with an inline fuse.

The stereo has a 10 amp mini blade fuse in it and the instructions don't say anything about an inline fuse. Should I put one in anyway?

It wouldn't hurt anything to put a second fuse in. I've see a wire spark and take out the mini fuse and head unit both.

I guess I'm putting one in then. Better to be safe than sorry.
