Does anyone know the exact p/n for the moog stock replacement front coils? i am looking to lift my car and inch or so and was looking at all the moog p/n's and man they get confusing. it looks like the 5602 is stock, the 5606 is a little heavier, and the 5610 is a heavy duty diesel spring, is this correct? And does anybody know which spring will give me the little over stock that i am looking for. I am not looking to have it jacked up for huge rims, i am still running my 15's but i dont want it to have the shocks stressed to the end of travel either. any help would be appreciated.

According to Summit this is the stock replacement Moog front spring AMG5608. It's rate is like 421 lb/ft. I think my 1 inch drop springs from Hotchkis are like 600 lb/ft. For what you are looking for I would look for some for a G-Body with a big block. I have seen them before so I know that they are out there I can't remember where I saw them.

http://jeffd.50megs.com/Moog_Spring_Page.htm I would recommend the 5658 for your goals. Much firmer than even the still soft springs put on the GN/442/MCSS but still not harsh bouncy or too stiff. I would also would recommend some poly end links as a great and cheap upgrade and existing ones are almost alway shot on these cars. And get the missing rear sway bar and a thicker front sway bar from an F-41 (option code) equipped car or a GN/T-type/442/MCSS from a salvage yard or as often advertised on here. Its another good and cheap upgrade. Last some good shocks like Billensteins or Edelbrock ISAs. Often people think their springs are shot when its actually their shocks. In any case the springs on these cars were stupid soft when they left the factory.

No factory stock gbodys came with a big block but lots have been transplanted over the years.

My car has the moog stock replacements for a 305 a/c car. Didn't bring it up as high as i was hoping.

thanks for the quick response! i do have new shocks on it, i have kybs in the front and cheapy ole monroe airs in the back, lol. I work at a suspension and steering shop so getting the parts pretty cheap isnt a problem, and i will be upgrading all the swaybars and bushings shortly. i dont even want to be driving the car right now but havent found another winter beater yet. anyway, you dont think the deisel springs would get me there, you recommend the 5658,s? thanks for the help fellas, i will keep ya'll posted.

The link will make you an informed buyer. I like the 1/2" drop from original ride height & the little rake that it can provide. Mostly I just want to say don't get something too stiff and that the Moogs are good and cheap compared to Eibachs & the like.

Thanks guys, i believe i am going with the 5610's, they shouldnt be to stiff and still give the little lift i am looking for, thanks for the help.

Hello, resurrecting this thread because I'm curious how your springs worked out. I am restreeting my big block Monte and don't want to use the moroso drag coils (too low for street). As a for instance my front end weighs 1920lbs., so 960 per front wheel. I'm thinking the deisel springs would be best for me. I'm using a 15 inch front rim with a 27 inch tall tire.
