It's been awhile since I've had a car with a Quadrajet. I have an 86 Grand Prix with the original 305 and carb. Unfortunately, I've never had a q-jet with an electric choke or a computer or a laser gun for that matter.
Here's the number from the carb: 17085204 1905 HZJ
My car's VIN number indicates it was built in Canada at Ste Therese. Carburetor.ca says Canadian built vehicles came with the M4MED Q-Jet. Does this mean it came with the M4MED carb or is that for vehicles only sold in Canada? I have no idea which is preferable anyway. Heck if I know, but it starts a bit hard after it's sat a few days so maybe the b*st*rd has plates sticking open or something.
