stock trim or machined pin stripe

I've been looking at alot of cars with the machine turned pin stripes and wanted a second opinion on what looks better. The car is originally an 86 442 and won't have any of the chrome molding that goes around the wheel wells or rocker panels and is going to be one solid color and not two toned. The stripe would follow the same lines as the pic but would be a straight stripe with no breaks

I think just a straight stripe would look good. The cutlass in the first pic just looks cheesy IMO
