i am getting ready to paint my 86 442 hopefully here in the next couple months. i am debating if i am better off shooting all of the black, laying the stripes and then shooting the silver or if i should shoot the silver first? i hear about the afermarket stripes not having the color built into them so imperfections are hard to hide. the car is going to be the stock black and i am opting for single stage paint since black bc/cc shows scratches on black much easier. thoughts?

Black, silver then stripes.
The silver will help you line up the stripes correctly.
I'd start with the front and rear bumpers when striping to help align everything.

i painted black first, then stripe, and silver last.
