Well the chevy 350 I'm getting comes with an edelbrock intake and a 650 carb. I'm going to put a mild cam in it and install headers and exhaust. The turbo 350 is coming with the motor. Would it be safer and more convenient to just put the turbo350 in? Originally I planned to just use my trans thats in it now and If I needed an adapter plate I found one on summit racing but I decided to just go ahead and put the turbo 350 also to be on the safe side.

and by adapter plate I mean to bolt a chevy motor to either buick olds or pontiac trans.

You can use either transmission. The 2004r has a universal bellhousing. It would be fine behind a mild 350. By running the 2004r you wont have to change anything behind the engine. Just drop the engine in and you wont even have to take the trans out. If you want to run the th350 more power to ya, either will work just fine. The 2004r will just bring a little better gas mileage to the table.

if you use the TH350, you might need to modify your crossmember, and driveshaft...
the 200-4r would require no change... and it'll be fine with your mild sbc350
