Summit is opening a new warehouse in Arlington, TX!

No longer will us Texans have to wait 4 agonizing days for our car parts to arrive with free shipping. The new warehouse is supposed to open later this year.

Sure, they'll charge tax, now, but that was coming anyway. (Tirerack put its Texas warehouse 3 hours away in Louisiana for the no tax gambit, and hindsight would have built up the whole Southern Oklahoma I-35 corridor with Texas distribution warehouses 10 years ago).

The Oklahoma and La guys should be able to get parts in 2 days tax free.

That is very cool. it's nice to have the instant gratification when buying parts.

With summit opening a another warehouse shows the hobby is going strong.

Looks like its going up about 2 blocks from Bowie high school. Those kids are probably going to get a killer automotive shop class in the deal. 700,000 square foot warehouse with 32,000 sq ft of retail, 5 miles from my office.
