Summit is starting to piss me off

With taxes on inventories like they are, it's smarter to drop ship. There's a huge cost savings by not storing parts on hand. It's sad. I recall the days of going to Year One and scoping out their parts stash. It was wonderful. Of course, they had tons of NOS parts too. Instant jelly. Of course, over time, they hired idiots who didn't know jack about Oldsmobiles so I shied away from them after that. And what was worse, when you told them about what exactly was fugged up about the repro part that didn't quite fit right, and especially one that they claim to help develop, they weren't interested in what the end user had to say. Well, f*ck you too, Year One. Want to act like a dlck, I'll treat you like a dlck.

Summit Jegs Speedway SDPC never had an issue with any of them. I guess you can't sadisfy everyone. By cheep bolts get cheep threads. you get what you pay for.
Human is to error.....:friday:😊:blah:

I just get my parts locally so I dont have to deal with shipping .I have driven truck and worked in warehouses .So I understand the system and plan ahead and have the patience to wait for parts to come. Just remember that this is a hobby .and is a side show to the rest of our lives.

I prefer Jegs because years back when I was ordering parts for my 74 firebird they were a few bucks more than summit, but we're donating money to some charity for like orphans or veterans or something. I forget the details but it made me have a good feeling about them as a company. Haven't had a "bad" experience with either but I prefer Jegs... I prefer Speedway over both though.

I wish the big places had more turbo Buick stuff. They have virtually nothing. The few places that do are killing me with the prices... $500-700 for a downpipe? Come on guys.

I feel like a lot of the turbo buick online retailers were around back when it was mail order only (pre internet) and came about because they were niche cars when new and the major retailers didn't cater to EFI stuff.

Problem is the internet came about and these turbo buick specific retailers stuck around and they never increased their level of service to the rest of the internet retailers. Plus, a lot of the owners are the same owners that had them for 30 years and are loyal to their specific mail order retailer and are OK with the service because they have been buying parts from them for decades.

I ordered a few turbo buick specific parts when I was building my turbo buick wagon last year and i think every time I ordered a part there was something wrong with the order, like missing line items, or the part was on backorder and they never told me during the ordering process.
