Thinking of trying a transmission from Summit. Anyone use one ? Good or bad results? Who is their supplier? Thanks
when i was 19 years old i got a b&m th350 transmission and worked great .not sure now a days

Old post but I meant a "Summit " brand of transmission. I dont know who makes the Summit line os trans but the prices are reasonable. Anyone?????

From my experience with the Summit brand stuff is that there very good quality stuff. I know that if you buy a summit brand fuel pump its a holley, their radiators are Northern Radiators, their differential gears are Richmond gear, their distributors are mallory, Summit heads are Trick Flow(Summit owns Trick Flow). I'm sure the transmission is PA performance. If you look at the picture of the Summit brand then the PA Performace it looks identical. They have the same red cap plugs in the cooler lines. Thats just my guess. I have a Monster Transmission and its not painted black and it silver like a TCI.

i never had any problems with anything with summit name on it .

Summit wouldn't put their name on it if wasn't good. I would buy a summit brand before a "name" brand anyday. Its going to be cheaper and more then likely its the same part just with a summit label on it. It's some good stuff.

x2

as said, summit brand is really rebranding of good suppliers.
HOWEVER, i always have to ask, why are the companies allowing this? is it just because summit can buy in bulk? or are the products seconds?
regardless, i have never heard anything bad about summit stuff.

I have Summit heads and now a carb. I will find out once I get the thing up and running. A few discussions about the carb, some Ford guys say it's a re-tweaked design of an old Auotlite/Holley carb (many of the Holley parts will work with it). It may very well be just some old discarded designs and Summit finds the actual manufacturer (not always the brand name) to keep producing them. I would not be surprised if any of the big names use a 3rd party casting supplier for their stuff.
