I bought a 350 sbc off of my fathers friend Randy for a great deal! Has forged pistons, rods, crank, etc. Dart pro 2 heads, and a aftermarket cam. I installed my weiand stealth intake manifold and a holley 750 carb. The motor makes 10.5:1 compression. However, id like to run a vortech supercharger that ive found.

My question(s) are:

is my compression ratio too high for this setup?

do i need a blow through carb?

do i need a different electronic fuel pump?

do i need a intercooler? because the kit doesnt come with one

10.5 to 1 is too much for pump gas. But I'd ask the supercharger manufacturer for their compression recommendation. With a carb application you would need a blowthru carb. I believe a good fuel pump like Aeromotive a-1000 will work but I believe you'll need a boost referenced fuel regulator. An intercooler is not needed but you're leaving alot of hp on the table without one. Someone else can chime in if I'm wrong . Good luck with your build.

how hard is it to convert to a blow through carb? and where can i find this boost regulator? i was thinking of doing a walbro fuel pump as well. i only want 500-550hp MAX. i havent been in a rwd 450+hp car in a good 3 years so id like to get used to it, which is why i dont plan on using a intercooler just yet.
