i noticed that gbodyparts.com has a "complete t top kit" does anybody know if this would make it possible to install t tops on a non t top car?? i cut and molded a aftermarket asc moon roof into my regal to look factory but t tops would be even cooler or maybe for the cutlass......

with enough duct tape you can do anything!
i believe that you would need the whole roof out of a t-top. the kit they sell is replacement/resto parts for an existing t-top.

If you do it, please video tape the install. lol. I would just get a pop-up sunroof and call it a day.

one thing that was cool is some guy turned his 87 monte ss into a convertible. it actually looked really nice. i believe he used camaro parts.

it is not hard to swap t tops into a g body. i helped a guy swap a normal top after a tree smashed his on his monte. its just a matter of drilling out the spot welds and re ataching everything. you also have to brace the body between the door jambs or the car will never be aligned right again

it would be really cool if you converted it but yeah be sure to take some pictures to show the conversion

T tops are really cool dont get me wrong.... but theyt are quite the b***h to install. We tryed it on an old wrecked car as a trial

i never saw but heard about a guy that put t tops in a elky, how cool would that be?!?! it may have been this guy in town that has done alott of the chocho (not sure i spelled that right) customs kits. this guy from my understanding works with them to make the kits such as the lumina front clip conversion and when i was in there they were making a grand camino. this guy has always had a bunch of rust free elcaminos in there and is always selling them needing a restore or already done. cool stuff, he had a huge picture album of all the cars he had built and showed me the chocho catalog with the cars he built in it.
