just a quick question, are all 78-87 camino tail light lenses the same? if so does anyone have a ds lens for sale or trade?

The '78 lens is a one year only part. '79 and later are the same. The difference is the position of the backup light, and the bulb sockets are different. In other words, the '78 taillight harness is different from the '79 and later years.

No spare lenses at this time, sorry.

so,could I swap the bulb harness to a later yr model and use a later tail, light lens?

You could absolutely change the harness along with your taillight lenses. What year El Camino do you have?
Here's a pic of the '79+ lenses.

And a pic of the '78 style lenses...only that these are European lenses. Notice the position of the backup lenses.

The '78 lenses take 3- 1156-57 type bulbs, where as the '79+ lenses takes two 1157 type bulbs and two 194 type sockets/bulbs.
