This may be a dumb question to some but,is there a major difference between an El Camino tailgate and one from a station wagon?
Thanx, looks like I'll be doing more fabrication than I thought .But then what else is new when doing a conversion. The wagons are wider & thinner, has the key lock to open the window & drop the tailgate.
What are you looking to do? Make a custom tailgate?[/QUOTNo
No, I'm going to make a stationwagon out of an El CaminoWhat are you looking to do? Make a custom tailgate?
That's the reason for starting with an El Camino. The shape of the B-pillar is similar to that of the old Nomads. I've seen too many where they just welded in the rear doors, doesn't look very good to me. I've got a line on a 79 Buick Century wagon, he's asking $1,000, for a parts car, I'll be checking it out in the next week or so.Nomad style right?
There are custom auto glass companies around that make all kinds of custom windows for old custom hot rods.Yeah the b pillar would be a big thing. What are you doing for side glass?
