I am doing the tall spindle swap for a better camber curve (and will also attempt to tackle the bump steer geometry at the same time), and am wondering about the brake calipers. Normally, you use 1LE Camaro 12 in rotors (basically, they are Caprice rotors with the right bolt circle) with the Caprice single piston calipers. However, I am wondering if there is a caliper upgrade available for the B bodies that I could do at the same time? Nothing too fancy or expensive, but maybe something like the LS1 F body or Corvette calipers that some people use with swap brackets to get better braking with the stock G spindle. I prefer stock type calipers and rotors to aftermarket as they are much cheaper to buy pads and such for.

With fall here and winter coming, I figure this is the perfect time to dig in to my front suspension modifications and try out my ideas. I am just trying to get an idea on what I need before I tear it all apart.

85,
try going over to NAISSO, it's a body site I still goto from time to time, as it was my second home for several years-through 2 b-bodies... they'll have some good ideas...

http://www.impalasuperstore.com/naisso/Forum2009/ you might see me in there(gr8whtwhale)... site is pretty similar to here, and lots of helpful people in there...
