Anybody have any experience with swapping from the stock to tall spindle on their rides?

I swapped B body front brakes into my cutlass if that is what you are asking

I have tall spindles from an 80 Camaro and tall lower ball joints. I use 7.5" upper tubular control arms. Some say it creates bump steer but I have the front suspension set up and have checked with a bump steer gauge and I'm not worried. I don't use the manufacturer specs for my wheel alignment

I think the B Body spindles are taller, more distance between ball joints, that the g body and therefore create a more favorable geometry. I've seen the ones from AFX that are a good aftermarket product, but $$$$$ pricey. when you put the b body brakes does that mean you changed out the spindles as well?

You'll need to use camaro rotors to maintain the proper bolt pattern (5x4.75). B body rotors have 5x5

I do believe they sell the b body rotors with the 5x4.75 bolt pattern now, because this is a popular swap. The other purpose for the b body spindle swap is because they had 12 inch rotors.

Thanks OCS, have you made this swap on your ride?

You can also use rotors from an IROC with 1LE brake option. These rotors are 12 inch and 5x4.75. I have them on my Olds.

I'm curious, where did you hear the B body spindles are taller than the F body. They are both the same. The only difference between the 2 is a 5/16" positional difference of the steering arm. We switched the F body spindle for the B body spindle so we could have the 5x5 wheel pattern to match the ford rear and the camber setting was the same with both spindles
