as some of you may know i am gettting ready to paint my cutlass so i have been looking for a budget friendly solution for a base coat clear coat set up for my car. so i order a color chart/paint chips for their restoration line of paint, it was nothing more then a a printout with all of the colors listed and the color printed on there, hardly a paint chip and it cost me 8 bucks shipped. so i am still considering them after that so i ask them a question through ebay about maybe buying a few real paint chips for 3 or 4 of the blues i was looking at, no responce after 2 weeks. so i decide to email them about a week ago telling them about the situation being very nice and polite about it and told them i was doing no more then telling them about the experiance. long story short i never got a reply and looking at some of their feedback i have decided to look at other places to purchase paint. if they cant respond to a couple emails why on earth would i expect any better once i buy something from them??

i think i am going to use smartshopper.com and get all house of kolor paint. i can get everything i need for 270 shipped for everthing i need for 1 gallon bas and 1 gallon clear. 40 dollars more then tcps restoration cheapy paint....
That sounds VERY cheap for HOC! I just bought Diamont base/clear in GM Navy Blue Metallic last year for my car and it cost me $720!! Be careful when buying paint at that price as some shops will mix up a cheaper paint and tell you it is something it is not. I know someone who paid for Deltron and got Omni. It's easy to tell because Omni is awful crap to use--very thin and watery with poor hiding. Deltron covers fast and sprays better than Omni, IMHO and you can tell if you know the 2 systems. Also, don't forget that you need activator and reducer for the base and the clear. Some systems use different reducers and activators for the clear and the base. Plus, you will want to use a sealer before you spray the paint so that it does not react with any of the materials already on the car.

total is $303+12% shipping = $340
110 extra compared to the cheapy tcp restoration shop paint and you are getting a name brand paint. if you get online there is a ton of info on hok paints and how to spray it too.
