I try to stay away from them. we have alot of them in our area and most are too small. They have been around for a while but most still don't know how to drive them, I guess you really can't teach stupid. The roundabouts in this area has increased accidents

The only one that I have to navigate on a regular basis has been nothing but a good thing. It was put in at a T intersection where you couldn't see very far in either direction. Used to be an accident like clockwork. I don't think there has been one since it was put in. While you can't fix stupid, it's those people that should not even have a license to drive in the first place, and will make any good thing look like a bad idea. Roundabouts are easy to navigate, but they need to be large enough to handle the amount of traffic they will be subjected to.

I like them, easily got used to them-just watch out for the other guy, take your turn, smooth sailing.

OK, the article is about traffic circles. I thought it was interesting that a 30-year-old El Camino was in a photograph in yesterday's New York Times. Thus the 'old dog' comment. Most people don't get me, either. 😵

"Just slow to 20mph" HA HA!! Keep dreaming. NYC metro idiots will try to take it at 80 or make a left turn into oncoming traffic.

They've introduced several of them in my town, in various neighborhoods. They tout them like they're the next best thing to sliced bread.
The worst one that I've ever encountered was in NJ. It was like a scene from Mad Max.,,a freakin' free for all.

in my area there is round abouts like pontiacgp said they are small and seem to cause more accidents but in some areas i think a round about is better then a 4 way stop no one really understands them either
