I just picked up an 86 grand prix. It's supposed to be all stock. When I pulled the valve covers off the casting numbers of the heads are 462624 which was 350 only heads. I got the intake number which is a 305/350 intake. I can't imagine someone putting the 624 heads on due to the combustion cc difference. I can't get to the block casting number either. Very weird. Maybe i'll be lucky and someone put in a 350.

Once you get the block ID, Their's a post here that goes by casting #. When/if you get hairy building it, the spring pockets are uneven. The valves are 1.94 intake/1.5 exhaust

After looking at the casting number on the bellhousing extension and the suffix number on the pad in front of the right head I found out it is a 350! I'm pretty stoked.

Hell yeah, get those stock 305 choker manifolds off, put on an intake n carb, n blast off. WAAAY TOOOO SCORE

That is the plan! Plus I'm going to put an RV cam in it.

That's a nice surprise. 🙂
